Overview:
Works for a Federally Qualified Health Center
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provision of dental hygiene
- Perform all duties as per state license
- Performance of preapical, bite wing, occlusal, and panoramic radiographs if needed
- Chair side dental assisting, if needed
- Front desk duties if needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, filing charts and copying
- Maintain patient recall system
- Keep abreast of current information on the management of the medically-compromised patient
- Maintain and provide proof of current State of Texas license
- Comply with all policies and procedures
- Required to maintain confidentiality for patients and patients records
- Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or Vice President of Clinical Affairs
Education, Experience, Licensure/Certification and Skills/Abilities Related Requirements:
- Licensed by the State of Texas
- BLS certification required
- Must be able to hear (needs to be able to communicate with other staff while we are wearing masks and while hands are occupied)
- Must be able to wear latex or vinyl gloves
Continuing Education and Training Requirements:
- Participates in trainings required by the agency, funding source(s), and/or as required by licensure if applicable.
